History of the Serene Group of Hotels:

The Serene Group of Hotels was established in 1998 with the emergence of its first boutique hotel; The Silom Serene, a Boutique Hotel located on prime Central Business District on Silom Road. It was then considered by both the Thai hospitality and travel industries as one of the few pioneers of quality city boutique hotels in Bangkok. From then on, the trend of boutique hotels continued to blossom and flourish in Bangkok and expanded throughout Thailand in practically every popular tourist destinations.

In 2004, the group saw the addition of its second member; The Baan Bayan, an Exclusive Beach Hotel in Hua Hin. Strategically located right on the pristine stretch of Hua Hin beach front, this over 100-year old original Thai-Colonial beach house was refurbished and remodeled to include additional architecturally-stunning rooms to flank the beach house. This small boutique hotel was awarded the Best Historical Architectural Conservation in 2005 by the Association of Siamese Architects (ASA) under the Royal Patronage. What sets the Baan Bayan apart from other boutique hotels which have mushroomed exponentially every year in Hua Hin since then is the timeless aesthetic appeal of the central beach house and its splendid location on prime beach area. This unbeatable combination has won the hearts of both local and foreign visitors who return time and again every year to re-experience the unique ambience of Baan Bayan.

The Serene Group of Hotels continued to grow and expand with the formation of its 3rd boutique hotel; The Bodhi Serene, Chiang Mai in 2006. The project was the brainchild of a renowned Thai architect who skillfully molded and created a stunning concept that blended Chinese and northern Thai designs and architecture immaculately resulting in an exquisite hospitality gem in the Old City of Chiang Mai. Since it first opened its doors to welcome both local and overseas visitors in late 2006, the Bodhi Serene has managed to not only thrive but flourished in the highly saturated and competitive hospitality markets in Thailand to become one of the few most popular boutique hotels in Chiang Mai.

The Serene Group of Hotels welcomed its latest member; The Iudia on the River in late 2008. The 13-room boutique hotel attracted enormous attention even before it officially opened for visitors owing largely to its sublime location on the river with an unparalleled view of ancient temples and its magnificent design. The hotel garnered immeasurable praise and excellent reviews from visitors all around the world.
